Come on out and celebrate Mothers Day, May 14, 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. at Friends of the Fox River’s Monitoring Network’s annual Monitor With Your Mother celebration. The FREE family event offers food, music, opportunities to paddle canoes & kayaks, and educational activities & demonstrations.
This year's special speaker is Carlo Hawk Walker. He is an International Peacekeeper, Elder of the Western Cherokee Nation, and Keeper of Sitting Bull's Pipe & Bundle. At noon, Carlo will offer a prayer for us as keepers of sacred medicines and will speak on the sacredness of our efforts & protecting our environment. He will also be available for conversation.
