Join Friends of the Fox River (FOFR) on Monday, November 6th as Chuck Roberts, President of Friends of the Fox River, presents a FOFR year in review, the winners of our third annual photo contest, and draw the winner of our canoe raffle.
The event will be held at Prairieview Education Center 2112 Behan Road in Crystal Lake from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
"Friends of the Fox River has had a great year in our mission to protect the watershed and educate the residents as to the tremendous resource we have in our communities," said Chuck Roberts, President of Friends of the Fox River. “From our river plantings, clean-ups, and participation in the safe dam initiative, FOFR has made great strides in raising the awareness about the river and its related waterways.”
The program will also include an awards ceremony for the winners of the Friends of the Fox River Third Annual Photo Contest. “Friends of the Fox River is thrilled with the response and quality of the photos that are entered. These photos are a reminder of the beauty and resources the Fox River watershed offers the residents who live here.” said Jennifer Howard, photo contest organizer.
The winning photos will be on display throughout the evening. Refreshments will be served prior to the evening's program.
