Join Friends of the Fox River (FOFR) as we recognize the winners of our second annual photo contest, release our 2005 State of the Fox River Report, and highlight FOFR's accomplishments at our annual meeting. The event will be held on Monday, November 7, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Old Kendall County Courthouse, 110 W. Madison St., Yorkville.
"We encourage citizens to come out and hear the state of the water quality of their source of recreation and in some cases their source of drinking water," said Chuck Roberts, President of Friends of the Fox River. Dr. David Horn, former Past President of Friends of the Fox River, will return to present the Friends of the Fox River’s State of the Fox Report. " Friends of the Fox River is happy to have David back to deliver the State of the Fox Address". said Roberts.
The program will also include an awards ceremony for the winners of Friends of the Fox River’s Second Annual Photo Contest. "We are thrilled by the increase in entries. Last year the judges were impressed with the quality of the photos for our first contest." said Jennifer Howard, Media Relations Coordinator and Photo Contest Organizer. "This year the same level of talent was evident." The winning photos will be on display throughout the evening.
Refreshments will be served prior to the evening's program.
People planning on attending please RSVP by November 3rd to Sue Bennett at 815-356-6605. For more information on Friends of the Fox River visit www.friendsofthefoxriver.org.
