Friends of the Fox River (FOTFR) is just as the name implies, a group of like-minded people. It was founded to empower people to act in advocacy for the Fox River and it resources. We are a collaborative and each of us contributes as we are able.
Our annual event No Clean Water No Good Beer is an opportunity for Friends to come together for fun raising, fund raising, and Friend raising. This was a year of significant growth for FOTFR with a new major event – EL CARDUNAL, additionally expanded educational services, and a very nice replacement work vehicle. It was also a growth year for No Clean Water No Good Beer. The event was a demonstration of how we thrive with partnerships from generous contributors: Bandito Barneys, breweries, businesses and individuals for raffle and auction donations, attendees and volunteers.

No Clean Water No Good Beer 2025 was as always, a FUN time for the guests with food, drink, and prolific conversations in a unique setting. It was a grand display of support as the largest FUNDraiser to date. With a very large turnout of over 140 in attendance, it marked a banner year for FRIEND raising with over 40 there for the first time. This was a celebration on all three fronts. Several who were unable to attend, also sent donations.
