Brad Andresen, Village of Algonquin Parks and Forestry Supervisor, will lead the tour and demonstrate how to implement a restoration project for flood management from start to finish.  The presentation includes a guided tour of a 1.7-acre restoration project along Dixie Creek.  The restoration project was driven by several interconnected objectives: compensating for increased impervious surfaces from local park improvements, upgrading sewer force mains and a lift station to serve expanding development, improving water quality in the Village, and reducing sedimentation from erosion into Lake Braewood.
