Exploring Relationships
Young explorers entering 4th-8th grade are invited to spend part of the summer with Friends of the Fox River at Nature Explorers Summer Camp. Each weekday from 9 am to noon, campers will enjoy daily hikes, hand-on activities, curiosity driven exploration, and a healthy snack.
Come for one week or all three – different weekly themes ensure a unique experience each week!
Developed and led by an experienced team of educators and naturalists, this camp encourages investigation and connection to the natural world. Camp is held at Schweitzer Environmental Center, an ideal location for hiking the trails in Schweitzer Woods Forest Preserve and observing plants and pollinator activity in the adjacent Bee Sanctuary.
Week 1: Finding Our Place – June 8-12, 2026
Week 2: Exploring Relationships – June 15-19, 2026
Week 3: Becoming a Scientist – June 22-26, 2026
Drop off begins at 8:45am
Camp runs from 9:00am – 12:00pm
Registration Fee: $100/week
