Cancelled – Second Saturday Outdoor Family Adventure

March 14, 2020 @ 11:30 am - 12:30 pm

Due to public health concerns Friends of the Fox River has cancelled this event.

Friends of the Fox River invite you and your family to join us on the 2nd Saturday of each month from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. as we explore special places throughout the Fox River valley. Learn what a watershed is. See how the Fox River was formed, Visit the special natural areas that make the Fox River Valley an important ecosystem, flyway and fishery.

We’re offering this new outdoor activity program as a companion to our well established and popular 2nd Sunday’s at SEC series of free public presentations. Like the indoor 2nd Sundays program, our Second Saturday’s Outdoor Family Adventures are be open to all and FREE!

March’s 2nd Saturday Adventure falls on the same day as the Thom McNamee Memorial St. Patrick’s Day parade in downtown East Dundee. Friends of the Fox River (FOFR) will have a float featuring the prize in our new Canoe Raffle Fundraiser, a new Northwind 16 canoe.

So we encourage Second Saturday’s Outdoor Adventure families to attend this fun event and cheer on FOFR as we pass by in the parade. Please support our fundraising efforts to expand our environmental education programs like Second Saturday Outdoor Family Adventures by buying raffle tickets. Take a chance on education and help us teach our children well.

RSVP’s are not required for this Second Saturday Outdoor Family Adventure.
