Friends of the Fox received over $4000 last year from the parade proceeds. Please come and join the fun this year!

To honor the memory and giving nature of Tim and Thom McNamee, the Dundee St. Patrick’s parade will support two local non-profit organizations. Continuing the tradition of the last three years, the parade will support the FISH Food Pantry to help feed and clothe those in need. This year we are expanding our efforts to support The Friends of the FOX River. Both of these local charities were very important to Tim and Thom.

FISH is a non-profit organization that is run by volunteers and helps feed an average of 425 families a month from Dundee Township and portions of Gilberts. FISH helps individuals or families who need to supplement their food supply on an emergency basis because of loss of jobs, illness or other difficulties, lower income citizens, such as senior citizens living on a low fixed income, or single parents who cannot work because of small children at home. FISH accepts donations in the form of non-perishable food, clothing or cash.

The Friends of the Fox River is a non-profit organization designed to educate the public on issues regarding the importance of understanding and ways of protecting our beautiful local natural resource. It was one of Thom McNamee’s favorite organizations. The parade’s founder was known to hop in the Fox River every spring and join in the clean-up effort with this fine organization.

You can participate in the FISH and the FOX fundraiser in one of two ways: 

1. Provide a cash donation either directly or during the parade. 

2. Support our local businesses who are participating in the fundraiser through fun activities.
