‘Meet the Macros’ Workshop for Stream Monitors, Teachers, Fishermen, and Stream Ecology Enthusiasts

Friends of the Fox River’s Water Monitoring Network is co-hosting a workshop on Saturday, April 28 from 1:00-4:00 PM at The Conference Center at Glacial Park, 6316 Harts Road in Ringwood.

The free workshop will cover benthic (stream bottom) macroinvertebrates and how they are an indicator of the health of the local streams. The workshop begins indoors with a presentation on macroinvertebrates by John Aavang. Afterwards participants will head out to a local stream to collect and identify macroinvertebrates.
