For Immediate Release

The Friends of the Fox River announce:

  • Fox Rescue River Clean-Up
  • Call for Volunteers!
  • Saturday, April 17th 2010
  • 9:00 – 1:00

For the first time in the history of the organization, the Friends of the Fox River are teaming up with folks in the northern-most section of the watershed and conducting a Fox River Clean-Up in Waukesha at Frame Park.

Members of the Badgerland Ski Team will make up part of the volunteer force. All ages are welcome to join us. Bags, gloves, and other materials will be provided.

The Friends of the Fox River have been coordinating Fox Rescue River Clean-Ups in northern Illinois for upwards of 10 years. Last year an estimated 12,000 lbs of trash and debris were removed by over 400 volunteers. Join us at Frame Park in Waukesha as we “Keep on Fixin’ the Fox”

Friends of the Fox River’s mission is “… to preserve, restore and protect the Fox River Watershed’s resources by connecting people with nature through education, research, restoration and advocacy.” For more information on Friends of the Fox vist www.friendsofthefoxriver.org
