The Carpentersville Dam is scheduled to be removed this fall. Join host Friends of the Fox River President, Gary Swick, at the Carpentersville Dam, to learn about the history of this dam from local historian, Phil Aleo, and local river restoration expert, Art Malm, will tell why this removal is so important. Park in lot on Lincoln St. north of Otto Engineering in Carpentersville.

The short presentation will be at the dam, with time for questions and answers. The talk will be immediately followed by a more in-depth presentation at Rosie O’Hare’s Public House (702 N Water St., East Dundee) upstairs room. All attendees will receive a beverage and a specialty sandwich or salad for a suggested donation.
