Join Friends of the Fox River president Gary Swick for a guided trip from the McHenry Dam State Park. Love Our River Day is supported by the Friends of Moraine Hills State Park.

Launch from the McHenry Dam for a 6 mile, 3 hour paddle.  A shuttle back to the McHenry Dam will be arranged.  

Canoes can seat 2 or 3 people.  Note: paddling with three in a canoe requires one individual to sit lower in the boat. 

Please register yourself and one or two partners to share your canoe. 

If you do not have paddle partners in mind, just register yourself and you will be paired up with one other paddler. 

Bring water, wear a hat, and pack a snack!
