Elgin Public Museum – Earth Month Sundays

April 18, 2021 @ 12:00 pm 4:00 pm

Elgin Public Museum of Natural History & Anthropology features local environmentalists for  “Earth Month Sundays” throughout April.

Friends of the Fox River will be on hand at the museum between noon and 4 p.m.on Sunday, April 18th, to talk about their efforts to protect our beloved river and riverfront and demonstrate the Enviroscape. It’s an interractive tool to teach how polluted water travels over land, streets, yards, storm drains and how personal actions make a difference.

Friends will also demonstrate pond scooping at Lord’s Park, 100 Oakwood Blvd, Elgin, IL 60120. For more information, email Education Coordinator Sharry Blazier at blazier_s@cityofelgin.org, or follow Elgin Public Museum on Facebook.

Standard admission applies (Adults/$2, Kids 3-12/$1, under 3 and Museum Members free) to enter the museum.

Other Earth Month Sundays feature beekeeper Joe Bosse (April 11th) and Friends of Lords Park Zoo (April 25th)
