The Fox River Summit is an annual gathering of organizations, municipalities, citizens, and stakeholders from across the Fox River Watershed, building partnerships and developing an open dialog about the issues important to the management of the watershed.

The program features speakers and presentations highlighting these issues, but it is also an opportunity to celebrate the success stories along the Fox River.

FOTFR’s very own president Gary Swick will be there to provide an overview of the many projects and happenings along the the Fox River from the headwaters to its southern confluence. Gary will also review the annual watershed-wide celebration, It’s Our Fox River Day.

FOTFR board member Art Malm will also be there to talk about river restoration through dam removal, more specifically to provide a basic framework of the dam removal issue and status of the program in the Valley, address common misconceptions, and allow plenty of time for audience Q&A.

The Summit reaches across the state line, from its headwaters in Waukesha, Wisconsin to its mouth at Ottawa, Illinois. The collaborative effort to develop the bi-state Fox River Water Trail was born out of the Fox River Summit. We strive to continue these collaborative efforts in the watershed, and the Fox River Summit is where we come to share.
