FREP Noon Network – Campton Township Field Tour of Gray Willows Farm

August 9, 2017 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

Join Fox River Ecosystem Partners at  Gray Willows Farm

Tour led by Josh Nelson, Ecological Restoration Technician
Campton Township Open Space, watch for Josh at the gate on Corron Road & a FREP sign.

We will meet at the main barn, and then do a walking tour of the park. It is recommended that you bring insect repellent. The walk won’t be too far, and will be over fairly easy terrain. In the event of foul weather, we will have the barn available for shelter.

Purchased in 2010, Gray Willows is a majestic site comprised of 208 acres.  It boasts rolling meadows, walking paths through wooded areas, oak savanna, future prairies and wetlands, and two branches of Ferson Creek. Although not yet open to the public, this acquisition is an important part of preserving open space as it connects to other greenways in the community.
