 Microgreens are edible seedlings that contain massive nutrient content and flavor. Researchers have found that micro’s such as red cabbage, cilantro, and radish can contain up to forty times higher levels of vital nutrients than their mature counterpart. Not only are they healthy and delicious, they’re super easy to grow at home with no fancy grow setup required. John DeFrancisco, a local grower and owner of Hometown Acres, a farm located right here in the city of Crystal Lake, will give a bit of info on microgreens as well as show how to grow these powerful little plants to satisfy that green thumb all year round.
