This is our annual canoe trip for members of Friends of the Fox River and the Environmental Defenders of McHenry County. We’ll paddle the most scenic and popular section of the Lower Fox River. This is the classic Lower Fox trip from Sheridan to Wedron. Sheer limestone cliffs rise nearly 100 feet above the banks along the second half of this 11 mile trip. We’ll stop for lunch at a paddler’s only picnic spot on the way to the take-out at Ayers Landing in Wedron.
