Stewards Katie Meyer and June Keibler assemble volunteers at Schweitzer Environmental Center; they provide instruction and support. Volunteers will be working in the wooded area to the south to clear and remove invasive plants. Please bring gloves, wear long pants, long sleeved shirt and closed-toe shoes. Try to arrive on time.

We put in at the Algonquin Dam (Cornish Park) and take out at Fox River Shores before the Carpentersville Dam.   This is part of it's a river days and Algonquins community days.  Last year we did a initial shuttle and a reverse shuttle. Fox River Ecosystem Partnership welcomes Amy Walkenbach, Nonpoint Source Unit Manager Illinois EPA, will discuss The Illinois Nutrient Strategy's first biennial report and give an overview of progress at the state level. Rob Linke, Kane County Division of Environmental and Water Resources, will discuss what is happening specifically in the Fox River Valley.
